Cláudia Barbosa

Claudia Barbosa is a PhD candidate in Political Science and International Relations
at the University of Minho in Portugal. She holds a master’s degree in International Relations
from the University of Minho. Cláudia is part of the research team at the Research Center in
Political Science (CICP) in this University, as a collaborative member.
Her doctoral research is focused on the operationalization of the Human Security
concept in the digital age, more particularly, analyzing the European Union Cybersecurity
Policies.
Claudia's purpose, through this investigation, is to demonstrate the importance of the
human being as the object of cybersecurity and not as the weakest link in cyberspace. This
study seeks to provide valuable insights into the human security approach to cybersecurity,
highlighting future insights for the protection and empowerment of individuals and civil
society in the digital age.
